I am currently 17, and wanted to start reselling, I am still in high school someone mentioned before that I should probably wait until im 18 to start reselling, then again someone said you should start and get a headstart. Not exactly sure what to do here, I was thinking maybe starting up in the summer since im out of school and seeing how it goes? Would that be a good route? And should I wait until I am out of high school?

I was wondering, is reselling the way to go when you first start out here? My future goal is to eventually own my own web hosting company and many people have told me a reseller account is a good way to start. Thoughts?

Not quite “just in time for Earth Day,” as far as this blog is concerned, but April 22 (Earth Day) was actually the day we shipped the files for the latest issue of WHIR magazine off to the printer.
The date is fitting because May’s issue is our “green issue,” in which we look at one of the most notable issues in hosting from a variety of angles.
It’s possible, I suppose that you’re reading this blog for some reason other than the fact that you follow web hosting news, but if we accept my general “you, dear reader, are at least interested enough in web hosting to pay attention to the general industry news” assumption to be true, then it is probably also safe to assume that you’ve noticed the overall increase in “green” hosting news, not just in the last few weeks, but over the last few months.
Last year, not [...]

Has anyone ever dealt with a brand name change, how smooth was the transition? I know that a well known brand name changing it’s name to something new would be difficult on the customers.

WordCamps are my favorite events to go to because there’s something about the core WordPress community that attracts smart folks with good philosophies that are fun to hang out with. In this post I’ve collated the upcoming WordCamps we know about, including the one in San Francisco. Hopefully there will be one nearby so you can meet other WordPressers in your area.
WordCamp San Francisco will be August 16 at the Mission Bay Conference Center.
WordCamp Paris will be on May 3rd. Here’s their official site.
WordCamp Italy in Milan will be May 10th. (And I believe I’ll be there.)
WordCamp Birmingham UK will be July 19-20.
WordCamp Toronto will be October 4th.
There are people in the planning stages in Australia, Philippines, Beijing, Utah, Hawaii, UK, NYC, and possibly others, so if you live in one of those areas and would like to help set up a WordCamp in your area Google around or connect with bloggers in your area.
You can always find out more at WordCamp Central.

I was wondering, after you get a reseller account I figured you’d need a website first, so I was thinking of getting someone to make me a website. Thing is, after I make my website, I need to advertise elsewhere right? Where are some good places to advertise? Don’t know if that’s really a good question to ask being that everyone has their own strategies in getting customers(at least i think so)
